Lose 10 Pounds
Why is a 10 pound weight loss important? Why do people just want to lose 10 pounds? Why not 15 or 25? It seems 10 pounds is a very popular number for those wanting to lose weight. I intend on showing you a wide variety of ways to lose 10 pounds of weight if that is your goal.
It's not hard to lose 10 pounds, it's hard to keep those 10 off! Losing 10 pounds of weight may be as simple as cutting back on deserts and high sugar drinks such as soda. Losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks is a fairly common goal and one that most of us can do if we focus and put our minds to it.
In fact, losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks is a simple goal that most of us should try. Losing 10 pounds in 14 days is really simple if you think about it.
To get your mind into the state it needs to be in to lose 10 pounds in 14 days, think of it this way. To lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks, think that you need to lose less than 1lb per day. That's all! Less than one pound of weight loss per day and you can reach your goal of losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks.
Now having told you that. Here's is the ass kicker. If you set your goal to only lose less than 1 pound per day, you will fail. Why?
Did you ever have a test when you were in school that you had to cram for? Sure, all of us did. How hard did you study? Did you study just enough to pass that test? Or did you study hard enough to make the highest score you could?
People who think they are studying just enough to make a passing grade, almost every time fail. That's why trying just hard enough to lose less than 1 pound per day will cause you to fail.
Instead, try this. Try to lose 1.5 to 2 pounds per day. Do not weigh every day! Only weight once a week. Weighing every day, or several times per day, is self defeating and you've beat yourself before you even started.
In order for any weight loss program to work, you must first prepare your mind for winning. Long term weight loss is tough and it's about life style changes. Short term weight loss like losing 10 pounds in 2 weeks is simple and only requires a short focus period. Almost any of us can focus long enough and put forth enough effort to lose 10 pounds in two weeks.
It all comes down to how bad you want to lose that weight.
I know that some of you are saying that you can't lose 10 pounds in two weeks. You have your enablers and your excuses. What if your child's life depended on you losing that 10 pounds in 2 weeks?
Let's say that your child (or another loved one if you don't have one) life depends on you losing and keeping off 10 pounds in 14 days. Could you do it? Would your child or loved one be safe at the end of 14 days?
I imagine nearly every one of us could do that and probably do it sooner than 2 weeks!
You see, it's all in how you look at it. Weight loss is more of a mind game than anything. You just have to convince your mind that you can lose weight then it will convince the rest of your body.
